Lilies bloom in the deepest valleys and they may even grow among thorns. The greatest virtues are born in the deepest valleys of life. The lily is a tall, strong metaphor of Christ.

    The intricate details of this artwork astounds me.One’s eyes are drawn beyond a first glance to things like the delicate pattern on the sleeve and the way her fingers stunningly create the shape of the Lily.
    The woman in this piece has such a peaceful repose and given I love lilies,this piece is a favourite of mine.
