This wonderful work has an intense, personal significance for me as my mother was holding a small wooden cross when she died. I then gave the holding cross to my sister who lives far away and who had not been near our mother when she passed away. So, this cross is a gift on many different levels. The beauty of the artwork is intensified in the delicate cloth detail and warm, autumnal hues.
